Guess what time it is?

So...let me set the scene for you what it is like to be back at Camp Greentop 2011, for what will no doubt be a memorable summer. Have you ever seen the Coca Cola advert where a truck drives through a small town and illuminates the dead night with its vibrant festive colors and suddenly this small subdued dwelling becomes a sea of light and everyone is smiling safe in the knowledge that, oh yes it must be that time again! It's Christmas!....Now just suspend your belief....coming back to Camp Greentop isn't like that truck ploughing through a carpet of snow in the American wilderness. Instead, it's a 15-passenger Ford manned at the wheel by a guy named Matt from Michigan listening to metal as he pulls into the Parking garage at BWI Airport to pick you up to take you to your final destination, and it beats Coca Cola's festive advert in terms of excitement and unprecedented joy, hands down!

That was almost 14 days ago and the feeling is just as strong.

From that time the Camp Greentop team have been feverently assembling cupboards, drawers and shelves. Cleaning kitchens, cabins, cars, footpaths and barns. Dusting cobwebs, mopping floors, blowing up space hoppers, mowing lawns, washing bed sheets, towels, pillows and sleeping bags. Defragmenting computers, setting up PA systems, figuring out which end of the label maker goes which way into the label maker....all in anticipation of the arrival of our wonderfully assembled International Crew of Counselors. I must add that in the midst of all that preparation copious amounts of food was digested, too many candy bars were eaten and enough cans of soda to make an aluminum wing for a Boeing 747, and no animals were harmed.

So with out further delay, I would like to say that Camp Greentop is OFFICIALLY back for another summer!!!!!

Photographs of everyone's efforts shall follow!
