Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

It certainly has been a busy few days up here on the mountain. We've had really nice weather during the days and rain the past few nights. Since the last post, we've been on trips to Toby's Dinner Theatre (to see Oklahoma!), a cruise around the Baltimore inner harbor, Pizza Hut, the Catoctin Zoo, and right now a group is at the bowling alley in Frederick. Tomorrow's trips are to the Mason Dixon Dragway and then to the movies in the evening.

Travel camp got back from the Outer Banks yesterday and the League Pioneers headed home this morning. We still have a few more days of fun up here at main camp, though. Here's a few pictures from the last couple of days!

Back Up & Running!

Greetings all you new followers from Session 4! Our internet troubles lasted longer than anticipated. But the good news is that we are back to normal and will be blogging MUCH more regularly. Remember you can also keep up with camp on Twitter.....even if you don't have your own Twitter account! Just go to www.twitter.com/campgreentop and see what's going on.

Sally and Elizabeth break it down at the dance Saturday night.

Here's a quick recap on the session so far: We've taken trips to Adventure Park USA, the Hagerstown Suns baseball game, the Discovery Station Museum, the Ott House Pub, tubing, and an outdoor concert at Baker Park in Frederick. At the moment, over half of camp is at Charles Town Races & Slots, enjoying the outstanding buffet and [hopefully] winning some bets!

One bus loads up for the trip to Charles Town.

Our weather here on the mountain has been quite mild for this time of year. We have also had some storms over the past few days. Luckily, the storms have mostly been at night so we haven't had to change many of our plans.
C Unit shows off their concoction from the Iron Chef evening program on Monday.

For those of us back at camp tonight, we spent the evening watching the movie Hook before an evening snack of ice cream.

Early tomorrow (Thursday) morning, the group going white water rafting will hit the road for a fun-filled day on the river.

As for the League Pioneers, they've been busy hiking, fishing, swimming, cooking, crafting, and canoeing...among other things.

Jesse and Jacob enjoy an underwater photo shoot at the pool. :)

Eric, Bryan, and Norbert enjoy the lake at Cunningham Falls State Park

Internet Woes

Our apologies for the lack of blog posts this session. Apparently one of the wires that connects our sattelite to our wireless router was cut during some repairs at the barn. We are working on getting that replaced ASAP. We wanted to update everyone briefly and let you all know that things are going great here at camp.

So far we have taken trips to Pizza Hut, Charles Town Races and Slots, Ott House Pub, Bowling, Toby's Dinner Theatre, Pryor's Orchard, and a Frederick Keys baseball game! Back here at camp we have been busy with tons of fun programs, Singing Catch Phrase, a dance, a movie night, and a campfire.

We hope to have photo updates when we get the internet becomes a little more reliable and we have enough bandwith to upload them.

Feel free to give us a call if you have any specific questions or concerns. (301-416-0801) We are able to update more often at www.twitter.com/campgreentop. Otherwise, we'll hopefully be blogging more regularly right here!

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!

Happy July all you Greentop blog followers! We had a lovely afternoon today, followed by a quick onset of rain clouds after our delicious dinner of baked ham, green beans, au gratin potatoes, rolls, and ice cream for dessert.
