Hi everyone. We had a fantastic afternoon with the Rotary Day and all the fantastic
things that came with it. We had loads of games such as Football Toss, , Froggy Fly Flying, Soccer Kick, Monkey Striker and Golf Challenge.We even had a Dunk Tank where several of our counselors volunteered to get wet at the hands of the campers. We also had a Moon Bounce Castle where everybody tired themselves out.
But they weren't too tired for all the snacks we had on offer...

*Snocones
So, As you can see we had a great day in the sun and in the evening we had our pajama party which got everyone in the mood for bedtime! We had milk, cookies and dancing! Everyone had great fun.

So everyone had a great day yesterday. Here's what they all got up to...
Arts and Crafts: Mosaic Pottery
Sports and Games: Basketball
Performing Arts: Camp Fire Prep
Nature: Nature Texture Beads
Pool: Volleyball
The horses had a day off yesterday and we had our campfire in the evening. It was lovely and warm in the evening and it was a great night for toasting some s'mores!!
The awards yesterday saw Ari and Jenelle win the awards for Arts and Crafts, Andrea and Alex excelled in Sports and Games, Elizabeth and Lauren showed off in Performing Arts, Alex Bush and Jeremy did fantastically at Nature and Pool program awarded theirs to Callie and Darius.

Today we had PIRATE DAY!!!!! It was great fun and there were loads of people dressed up in their costumes. To fit in with the Pirate theme of the day Sports and Games had High Seas Cannon Shoot, Performing Arts did a Pirate photo shoot, while Nature made Pirate Kites and Pool Program played water cannons. The Horses held a horse shoe treasure hunt and Arts and Crafts did some flower pot planting.
Today's awards were bagged by Christine and Carly for Arts and Crafts, Rabah and Laura F for Sports and Games, Kole and Connor in Performing Arts, DeShawn and Byron for Nature, Lydia and Julien in Pool Program, and Maria F at the Horses.

B2 won B Unit the Golden Plunger today for the cleanest latrine, while the cleanest male and female cabins went to B2 and C3.

So tonight's our Treasure Hunt. So shiver me timbers and let's see what the Piratey Day has left in store for us!

So... It looks like everyone is already having a great time at Camp! This is a picture from the dance last night on the Blacktop.

Yesterday we settled in to Session 2 with chicken and mash and then went over to the Blacktop to join the evening program for a Rainforest Rave!

Everyone seemed to have a great time and today has been another glorious day. Everyone has had great fun with all the activities today and the sun is just setting ready for the camp fire tonight.

So, today we had french toast and sausage and for lunch we had grilled cheese and tomato soup.
I wonder what's for dinner. I'll blog again tonight with a list of today's activities and award winners!

OK, so here's what everyone got up to this morning...

Arts and Crafts: Ball Catchers
Sports and Games: Power walk to Chestnut Hill
Performing Arts: Musical Miming
Pool Program: Red light, Green light
Nature: Bird watching
Horses: Obstacle Courses

BUT! This afternoon was Camp Olympics. Everyone loved it and everyone got involved!!!!!
Each cabin painted themselves the color of their unit and took part in activities such as Shaving Foam Fury, Rubber Chicken Relay, Shot Put, Tug-o-war, Water Sports and Ribbon Dancing.

Breakfast today was eggs and English muffins and lunch was chicken nuggets served with mac and cheese. And we ALL enjoyed the BBQ chicken and rice that we just had for dinner...

The awards this evening went to B3 for the cleanest girl's cabin and C2 for the cleanest boy's cabin. Arts and Crafts gave an award to Elijah Dixon, Sports and Games gave theirs to Owen Van Doorn, Performing Arts gave theirs to Brian Barry, Jamie Dickey scooped the award in Nature and Maryanne Kim bagged the award at the Pool Program. The golden plunger for cleanest latrine was handed to A unit!! Great job everyone!

Evening Program this evening is a Scavenger Hunt, so off I go to man my station. The groups will follow a trail of clues around camp this evening. Let's get to it.
Hi so another day and the sun is STILL shining!

Last night we had our Tacky Prom! It was brilliant...We had dances on the Greentop while each cabin had their Prom photo taken and then there was corsage making in the Dining Hall. The prom king and queen were announced. The winners were Ari Spetgang and Emily Hartung!! They had their first dance and then we all danced the night away.

There will be more photos up, but at the moment we're having an issue getting the photos uploaded. We're working on getting it fixed asap.

Anyway, yesterday we had bacon and toast for breakfast, sloppy joes and corn nuggets for lunch and mash and turkey for dinner. Mr Rick made his famous chocolate brownies for after dinner...they always go down a treat!!

Today was a lovely day with the sun still shining now as we roll into the Car Show for the evening program.

Arts and Crafts made paper plate steering wheels.
Performing Arts had a Dance Party.
Sports and Games played a good game of kickball.
Pool program continued their underwater photo shoot today; all the photos of the pool time will be up on the website tomorrow for you to download with you Pixiom account.
Nature took a hike, while League Pioneers took a rest today from hiking and came up for their daily pool session before heading back down to begin making their Tin Can Planetarium. They will make it, then use it, then lay down for some evening star gazing with the team.

Awards today went to:

Rashad Jasmine and Jeremy Mamlet in Sports and Games
Zachary Kafka and Joy Meenan for Performing Arts
Jeremy Mamlet and Kathryn Huang at the horses
Madison Galli and Aaron Kaufman with the Nature Program
and Sarah Ginsburg and Alex Willis in the Pool sessions.

D unit won the golden plunger for the cleanest latrines while the cleanest girl's cabin was awarded to A2 and the cleanest boy's cabin, to D3.

Hi guys,

So last night they had the campfire and had loads of fun with songs and skits.

Yesterday we had bacon, pancakes and syrup for breakfast; tomato soup and grilled cheese for lunch; and then meatballs and rice for dinner.

All the campers had lots of fun in the sun yesterday and it looks like it's going to be another glorious day! Yesterday in Arts and Crafts they made picture frames for their 'Hollywood' close ups! In Sports and games the theme continued with paparazzi tag while in Nature they made their very own pet 'rock' stars!
The campers will have loads of great things to bring home and show everyone with all the great things they're making this week.

League Pioneers took a trip to the Zoo yesterday which they loved. Today they're off to the Visitor's Center before lunch and then in the evening they will be making a tin can planetarium before settling down outside for a bit of evening stargazing!

Day 1 Session 1

Hi, It's been a lovely day today and the campers have had some really good fun in the sunshine!

Breakfast this morning was eggs, sausage and English muffins
Lunch this afternoon was chicken burgers and fries with fruit salad available

In Arts and Crafts the campers got to make their own name badges to hang by their beds so they would know which one was theirs.
In the Pool today the volleyball was out for a friendly match of Pool Volley
Sports and Games had the campers chasing each other round the Greentop in an energetic game of Cat and Mouse. Every time I looked out of the office window there were smiles and laughter all round!
Performing Arts played a game of Shadow Actions today, kind of like charades
Nature program held a Scavenger Hunt which from what I've heard went down a treat!!

League Pioneers also had a Scavenger Hunt where the campers got to use the compasses they practiced with yesterday. I spoke to Wiam today and he said they loved it and there may have even been a few (chocolate) treats along the trail :)

So all in all a great day and now we're all just looking forward to seeing what's for dinner and to the 'GONG SHOW' for our evening program. I'll try and get some photos of the Gong show and get them up here!

Hi friends.

So, our first day at camp is nearly over. The weather picked up during the afternoon just before dinner time giving everyone some nice time outside to explore for the first time or to enjoy being back here.

Dinner this evening was pasta and marinara sauce with garlic bread which seemed to go down a treat with everyone! Well done Mr Rick!

First full day at camp starts tomorrow, but not before the campers had their dance on the Blacktop for their evening program. Looking out the office right now and everyone is having a blast out there!
