So the sun has come back out again today and what a good job because today is CAMP OLYMPICS!
Everyone gets to have fun and get messy! Then this evening is the Camp Fire Final Showdown where we will hold our final camp fire of the summer!
So tomorrow is our last full day before the banquet in the evening, and then Camp Greentop closes its summer camp doors for another year :(
This morning we had English muffins and sausages for breakfast.

Hi there!
So we had a little storm yesterday but we didn't let it dampen our day because we still had fun indoors instead! And since it brightened up again pretty quickly we didn't have to stay indoors for long! In fact we were back outside after an hour and the Go Western Fashion Show for the evening program still went ahead on the Greentop.
Yesterdays activities were:
Wild West Cactus in Arts and Crafts
Horse Shoes in Horses
Spider Webs in Nature
Pop Quiz in Performing Arts
And unfortunately the pool was closed due to the storm but was open again first thing this morning ready for the Underwater photo shoot.
Yesterday we ate French toast and sausage for breakfast, chicken nuggets and fries for lunch and cheese steaks for dinner!
Today the League Pioneers have gone Kayaking and then they're back to their camp site for the evening. Don't worry about the weather. They stayed up here to stay dry last night and they were straight back at their (dried out) camp site ready to start cooking breakfast this morning.
See you tomorrow! (For CAMP OLYMPICS)

We are still having major issues with our phone line so if you call and get cut off we do apologize. We are working on getting it fixed as soon as possible but the problem seems to be intermittent. Because of this issue, Unit coordinators are unable to return your phonecalls regarding your camper however as soon as the issue is resolved we will get straight back to you. Thanks for your patience during this time.

Hey. So we had a bit of rain yesterday but it didn't put us off! We were supposed to have our campfire last night...Guess what? We still did. We used our cardboard cutout log fire that we got especially for indoor campfires! We still had our s'mores and we still had great fun singing, dancing and telling stories!
Yesterday was CAMP OLYMPICS and everybody got nice and messy in their Unit colors. Here's a few pictures from Camp Olympics...

More pictures from the Olympics can be found on the Pixiom downloader. Go to http://leagueforpeople.pixiom.net/ and enter verification code cam1015 (do not forget to put the / at the end of the address as you are registering)
All session pictures go up on the Pixiom Downloader after the session is over and all the wonderful pictures have made their way to the office so wait until after the end of session to sign up.
So today we have had cinnamon buns and fruit for breakfast, chicken pasta and tuna salad for lunch. I wonder what's for dinner. Tonight we have Pin the Stars on the Stripes for evening program. Let's see who the winning team will be.
Talking of winning awards, our Olympic winners were as follows:
A Unit: Most Olympic
B Unit: Most Spirited
C Unit: Loudest
D Unit: Most Creative
Day Camp/League Pioneers/WEA: Messiest
See you tomorrow!

Sorry about the lack of posts over the last few days. There's been a few technology problems but I think we're sorted now. Here's a catch up of what's been happening...
MONDAY AUGUST 2nd
Monday was superhero day and to fit in with the superhero theme we made capes in arts and crafts and made spider webs in nature to be like out friend spider man! We did some water balloon racing in horses, volleyball in the pool, field hockey in sports and games along with a dance/instrument party at performing arts. The evening program was the Superhero Challenge where everybody had to make superhero vehicles while dressed like superheros. Here's a few pictures of everyone getting stuck in!

TUESDAY AUGUST 3rd
Tuesday was a lovely day with another great range of things to do. In arts and crafts we made 3d butterflies, played horseshoes in horse program, made rain sticks in nature, played basketball in sports and games, but played water basketball in the pool! And performing arts put on a mini talent show which got us in the spirit for the GONG SHOW later that evening. The GONG SHOW was great fun and everyone put on a great performance.
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 4th
Today we have a lot more fun planned for everybody starting with making beaded coat hangers in arts and crafts, performing a dressage test in horses, making pet rocks in nature, playing flutterball in the pool, taking a hike to chestnut hill in sports and games and putting on our very own Camp Idol in performing arts.
Today is also CAMP OLYMPICS!!! Everybody gets messy, has lots of fun and competes for the awards at the end! Then to slow things down again the camp fire is this evening with everybody's favorite skits, songs, dances and...S'MORES!!
I'll get some photos of camp Olympics and the camp fire on the blog tomorrow!
