League Pioneer Update

League Pioneers, our primitive camping program down the road, has been quite busy the past couple of days. They've hiked all over the National Park, went paddle-boating and fishing at Cunningham Falls State Park, and even went to a Hagerstown Suns baseball game last night!

Whoa...We're Halfway There!

It's been another exciting day so far with great food and awesome program activities. It's hard to believe that today marks the halfway point in Session 2!

For breakfast today we ate French toast and bacon. For lunch was taco salad and churros!!!

Programs today are:

Horses - Steer Roping

The weather was a bit on the cool side this morning but the sun is out now and it has definitely warmed up. Rest hour is almost over, so it will be back to business very shortly! :)

TACKY TUESDAY!!


Today was TACKY TUESDAY!!! There were some pretty crazy outfits walking around CGT today!


The menu today was:
Breakfast - Sausage, Eggs, & Hashbrowns
Lunch - Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Tomato Soup, & Fritos
Dinner - Lasagna, Garlic Bread, & Caesar Salad with Ice Cream Sandwiches for Dessert

Performing Arts - Campfire Skits

Tonight's Evening Program was a CAMPFIRE!!! Skits, songs, and even a few ghost stories were in the lineup! :)

Just Another Day in Paradise

Today was absolute bliss up on the mountain!!! We had a delicious dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, peas & carrots, and stuffing with chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Tonight's evening program was an ABC scavenger hunt. Cabin groups searched far and wide to find items at camp that began with EVERY letter of the alphabet!

Busy Day So Far...

We've had a great but busy day so far! We enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken nuggets, macaroni & cheese, and peaches. Congratulations are in order for A2 and C1 who won the cleanest cabin awards today!

Travel Camp loaded up and headed to Virginia Beach shortly after lunch today. They'll be back on July 4th.

Another session at CGT is off to a great start! We are having beautiful weather and tons of fun today!!! We started off with a spaghetti dinner and a Survivor-themed dance last night. This morning we had pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Here's what's going on in today's program areas:

Technical Difficulties...

Greetings again everyone....we apologize for the lack of blogging yesterday. We have satellite internet up here on the mountain and yesterday we had a new satellite installed. Of course, the installation took longer than expected and we were without internet for the majority of the day.

Yesterday afternoon was the Rotary Day Carnival, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Baltimore. Everything from snocones and cotton candy to a moonbounce and dunk tank was set up on the Greentop for endless fun!

Last night we had our very own Greentop IDOL!!! We had no idea what a talented bunch we had up here this week. We had singers, actors, dancers, comedians, and more!
