Day Two at Camp Greentop!

Today was a spectacular day here at camp! So many great activities for the campers and so much energy from EVERYONE! We only had a little bit of rain today, but it didn't last long, and then fun still carried on!
Each camper goes to a variety of activities throughout the day, and we will list them here along with the campers who won an award for being super fantastic at the activity for the day. Everyone was looking forward for tonight's Talent Show where campers got to showcase their many talents such as singing, dancing, magic tricks, performance narration, and more! WELCOME CAMPERS!!!!

Welcome campers to our first 2013 session at Camp Greentop! The counselors have been anxiously awaiting their arrival for weeks and now the day has finally come! The campers were just as excited as the staff to see old friends and meet new faces.

After everyone was getting settled into their cabins this afternoon, they were ready for a delicious chicken dinner! But the Bubbalicious Bubble Dance was what everyone was looking forward to tonight! Bubbles were flying, hands were waving, and bodies were shaking as everyone danced to camp favorites such as Spice Girls, S Club 7, Taylor Swift and more! Check out the photos below from today, and check back every night for an updated blog entry listing all the activities that your camper participated in!

Family Camp Weekend

Family Adventure Weekend (FAW) started Friday evening with families arriving just before our pasta dinner. The campers and parents got a taste of camp and got to check out all our program areas and settled into their cabins for the night.

Saturday was filled with fun, starting with Field Games on the Greentop-- Most families started off their morning there playing croquet, frisbee, and other fun games. In Arts & Crafts there were glass magnets, tape art, yarn octopus, and recycled magazine frames. In preparation for dinner tonight, the families helped create delicious pizzas! The pool was open all afternoon and a few families decided to head down to Cunningham Falls for the day.

After eating the pizzas for dinner, everyone attended a campfire packed with songs, dancing, acting, and a camp tradition-- S'Mores!

Thanks to everyone who came to Family Adventure Weekend and we hope everyone had a great time! Hope to see everyone soon!

Camp Greentop is back for another great summer!!!! We've got so many fun activities planned to make this 2013 summer the best one yet! 

This weekend is Family Adventure Weekend (FAW) and the families are enjoying every minute of it!
